Our high-ranking Special Education programs attract students from across the nation who learn how to effectively use high-leverage practices to enhance the learning of individuals with disabilities. The Special Education program offers several degree-granting specializations, as well as licensure- and endorsement-only tracks.

AERA offers a rich array of programs and services for students through its divisions, special interest groups (i.e. Disability Studies in Education), and the Graduate Student Council for professional development, mentoring and networking.
The largest international professional organization dedicated to improving the success of children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.
Provides an opportunity for academicians and professionals from various educational and Industrial sectors to bridge the knowledge gap, promote research and the evolution of special needs in education.

There are several opportunities and organizations in special education that align with your research interests and expand on what you learn at Ohio State, including: Association for Behavior Analysis, Association for Positive Behavior Support, Association for Science in Autism Treatment, Division for Emotional Behavioral Health, Council for Learning Disabilities, National Institute for Direct Instruction, Standard Celeration Society, and TASH
